Easy April Fool’s Day Pranks
Also known as ‘All Fools’ Day,’ April fool’s day is the time to bring out your mischievous self and try those age-old and easy April Fool’s Day pranks. Not a legal holiday, April fool’s day is celebrated world over as a day of indulging in foolish acts of stupidity and playing practical jokes. It is the day when you can have fun at the expense of others. A day with the unofficial right to embarrass the naïve and the stupid, easy April fool’s day pranks are usually marked by people playing good humoured jokes on family members, friends, neighbours, colleagues and others.
Although being celebrated for centuries, there is a confusion regarding the origin of the April fool’s day. Though references to the fool’s day can be found as early as the 15th or 16th century, there is no concrete evidence of its origin. Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales” (1392) depicts the earliest reference of the relationship between foolery and April 1st. Several theories are prevalent regarding the origin of the April fool’s day. According to the calendar-change theory, in the 16th century when the New Year’s Day was changed from March 25th to January 1st, many people stuck to the old routine and celebrated the beginning of a new year on the last week of March. The celebrations would last from March 25th to April 1st, which led many pranksters to make fun of the people who followed this old tradition.
Prank calls – A spoof calling card is the best weapon you can have. Change your voice and make prank calls to all you know and scare the heck out of them. A simple joke, but it’s highly effective if you can pull it off.
Fake Lottery Win Prank
Buy a fake lottery ticket and give it to your victim declaring it to be a winning number. Imagine the surprise when the $50,000 winning amount turns out be a hoax.
Powder Spray Prank
Sneak into the bathroom and pour powder into your victim’s hair dryer. Using it on wet hair would turn the hair fully white.
Face Painting Prank
Sneak into your victim’s bedroom and draw funny moustaches and eyebrows while they are asleep.
Alarm – Set the alarm to 3:00 am and hide the clock under your victims’ bed. Once the alarm goes off in the middle of the night, it would drive them crazy when they can’t find the clock.
Faulty Mouse Prank
Place a tape over the digital sensor or ball of your victims’ mouse and watch the fun when they try to work with it.
Prank Candy Prank
Buy some special prank candies and gift them to your victims. These candies produce garlic breath and other foul smelling odour.
Fake Parking Tickets Prank
A great joke if you can pull it off. Put some fake parking tickets on your victim’s car and watch the fun.
